WWI Jacket of Albert Campbell
Private Albert Edwin Campbell was a 29 year old labourer from Delegate, when he enlisted in Bungendore on 24 January 1916. He joined the 55th Battalion and embarked from Sydney in September of that year. He was wounded in action in France in March 1917 with multiple severe wounds and returned to Australia. He was formally discharged the following year.
